Custom moccasins in one day! You will sew up these waterproof leather moccasins in a 5 hour course.
Course Requirements
The following are physical and mental challenge criteria for all participants of Carvergirl Leather Co. workshops. The criteria exists for your own safety and that of other workshop participants. The workshop premise does not meet accessibility standards as there are stairs to enter the workshop.
For all in-person workshops you must
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have sufficient vision to be able to see and perceive instructions and demonstrations.
- Be able to perceive and follow both verbal and non verbal instruction.
- Be able to manipulate fine, small objects and materials and use scissors.
- Have sufficient strength and dexterity in hands and forearm to safely handle tools and equipment that could cause injury if not properly handled.
- Be able to maintain your own safety in an environment where allergen and cross-contamination may occur.
Custom Leather moccasin class
Workshop/Course Information
Length of Course - 5 hours
Class Size – Max. 5 Students

*Includes all leather materials, cut and ready to sew, various thread and lace colours to choose from.
Class Description
Do you need a new pair of comfy slippers? Look no further!
Make a pair of custom moccasin style slippers in this 5 hour class.
The waterproof, dark brown, oiled leather pattern will be cut and ready for you to sew up in your favourite thread colour.
You will leave with a high quality leather moccasin that will last longer than any store bought one!
*This class does not require any previous leather craft experience. You will learn hand sewing and any other application while you are in class. You will work on techniques prior to applying the skill to building your moccasins.
*Your moccasin fit will be true to your shoe size and comes in half sizes.

Custom Leather Sneaker School
Workshop/Course Information
Length of Course - 2 Consecutive Days ( all day Saturday and Sunday)
Class Size – Max. 5 Students

Class Description
Calling all Sneaker Heads! During this weekend class you will design and make a complete pair of custom leather running shoes.
You will choose your style (low, medium, hightop) choose your leather, cut, hand sew, embellish, and grommet your custom shoes and wear them home.
You will leave this weekend course with a custom set of kicks to show off to everyone!
*This class does not require any previous leather craft experience. You will learn hand sewing and any other application while you are in class. You will work on techniques prior to applying the skill to building your shoes.
*Your sneaker sole kits required for this course will be ordered for you 10 days prior to class and cannot be returned for incorrect sizing. The fit of these shoes is similar the sizing of a Converse running shoe. Please consider trying on a pair of Converse brand shoes. These kits do come in half sizes. With regard to width, we can design the shoe in class to accommodate most foot widths.

Leather Sneaker School
For all in-person workshops you must:

Make A Custom Belt - Basic Level
Workshop/Course Information
Length of Course - 3 Hours
Class Size Maximum 5 students
Cost $95.00
Class Description
During this class you will make a custom fit belt.
You can make this for yourself or for someone else. If you are make this for someone other than yourself, have them put a measuring tape through the belt loops of their pants and measure to where they would tighten the belt to.
You will learn how to hand cut, dye, burnish/finish and add hardware to your belt.
All tools for this project will be provided to use during this course.
You will leave this class with a completed belt.

MAKE a Custom Belt

MAKE A CUSTOM dog collar - BASIC LEVEL
Workshop/Course Information
Length of Course - 3 Hours
Class Size maximum 5 students
Cost $95.00
Class Description
During this class you will design and make a dog collar. (To ensure correct sizing please bring or measure an existing collar that your dog is wearing. Measurement should be the circumference of the collar when it is done up.)
You will learn how to use leather stamps to make a decorative feature/name, hand cut, dye, burnish/finish and add hardware.
All tools for this project will be provided to use during this course.
You will leave this class with a completed dog collar that will make all neighbourhood dogs jealous!

MAKE A CUSTOM DOG COLLAR
For all in-person workshops you must:

Leather Carving Multi-week School
Workshop/Course Information
Length of Course – 6 Weeks (Every Wednesday Evening)
Class size – Maximum 4 Students
Cost $365
*Some homework will be required for this class.
Class Description
During your classes you will complete 4-6 hand carved leather projects.
Your course includes all tools that are yours to keep to continue your leather carving journey; You will receive and learn how to use a Mallet, swivel knife, 6 piece tooling set, jeweler’s rouge and strop piece (for sharpening swivel knife),tracing film, patterns, liquid leather finisher, and 5 precut leather projects.
You will leave this course with several completed projects.

· The fundamentals of leather carving and tooling
· How to properly use a swivel knife, edge beveler and stamping tools;
· How to finish your leather projects using various finishing techniques;
· How to apply hand sewing to your leather project(s);
· How to apply hardware to your leather project(s).
*This course does require practice time and/or at home project work to fully complete all six projects.
